Engineered for the Elements - Vendée Globe 2024
Latest update on Conrad Colman's Vendée Globe Adventure
It’s been one month since the start in Les Sables d’Olonne. After a turbulent week on board which included Conrad suffering a full electrical blackout, retrieving his large gennaker sail after it was dislodged and celebrating his 41st birthday, things have calmed down for Conrad.
Amongst all the chaos, he rounded the Cape of Good Hope on Saturday (7th) after 28 days of racing!
He has been able to carry out most of the repairs on the boat after the blackout (the only thing missing is an operation on the motherboard to get Pilot n°1 working again).
Next stage: Cape Leeuwin to try and catch up with the daggerboard fleet, which is sailing a few hours ahead!
