"Sadly I had to send two sets back, I tried both the Medium and the Long. The new style of glove is not as good as the old one. Gloves are shorter and do not cover the wrist. Fingers either too long or two short, they do not have the reinforced areas which are so important when trimming ropes."
Disappointed
"I have used Gill gloves for many years and typically get two years before thay start to look shabby. The new design is a lot lighter which is not a problem exept for this weekend which was the first windy sail the palm and finger reinforecement melted when easing the spinnaker tackline leaving only the thin leather to protect my hand. I have contacted Gill regarding this but no reply."
Great gloves run a little small. . .
"I've been wearing Gill Pro Long Finger gloves for years. I have a pile of them that have worn holes in the lower edge of the palm (note this is after quite a bit of wear in the leather and aramid patches - but those areas still had some life). I was really excited by the improved coverage in this area. However, after being perfectly a Large in gloves for years - the new Larges only just fit. I can just close the back velcro and the fingers are JUST long enough. I'll live with them as I generally like them - but next time I will order a XL pair."
