"The non-pointed, curved tip with the serrated blade that locks is spot on. I found it to be more expedient cutting a taut 5/8"""" nylon anchor rode than I expected - it's very effective. The marlin spike really needs to lock like the blades. It moves out of position when working on a tight knot, so one must be careful. There is a tiny and way too small hole on the glass breaker tip for a lanyard. I needed to add a ring to it to tie on a lanyard line. The shackle key/webbing cutter/bottle opener-wrench end locks and accommodates various shackle sizes. I question the use of the webbing cutter over the knife. The bright orange scales are molded with a deep and """"edgy"""" pattern offering good visibility and grip when it's wet and when wearing gloves. All in all there are minor design quibbles, but the overall execution is well done and it's a well constructed and sturdy tool."

"Its fine but has a couple of quirks, it opens too easily by itself and the lanyard point it's tricky. The holster is great but it's hard to remove from it. Would have been better to include a lanyard loop attachment."

"Just received my new personal knife to keep me safe on Clipper Around The World Yacht Race. Just completed my level 2 training and attached my knife to my life jacket. Used it all week, just wished it came with a landyard or the option to purchase a landyard with the knife. Found it difficult to get out the pouch with cold and wet fingers. But once out coped really well with the various jobs that had to be done around the boat."
